Mathematical Chemistry Works of Dragos Cvetkovic
In addition to his countless contributions to spectral graph theory, some works of Dragos Cvetkovic are concerned with chemical problems. These are briefly outlined, with emphasis on his collaboration with the present author.

have different kinds of generative power for assembling static or dynamic structures and processes, on different scales. For more on the notion of how properties of a construction-kit can determine/explain a range of possible structures and processes see Until recently, human-designed construction-kits did not include parts and tools for building information processing systems-essential for lif...
متن کاملMathematical Thinking in Chemistry
Mathematical chemistry is often thought to be a 20-century subdiscipline of chemistry, but in this paper we discuss several early chemical ideas and some landmarks of chemistry as instances of the mathematical way of thinking; many of them before 1900. By the mathematical way of thinking, we follow Weyl’s description of it in terms of functional thinking, i.e. setting up variables, symbolizing ...
متن کاملAlgebraic Combinatorics in Mathematical Chemistry
This paper deals with graph invariants and stabilization procedures. We consider colored graphs and their automorphisms and we discuss the isomorphism problem for such graphs. Various global and local isomorphism invariants are introduced. We study canonical numberings, invariant partitions, stable and equitable partitions and algorithms for stabilizing partitions.

One definition of a hyperelliptic curve is a curve C over an algebraically closed field k whose function field K is a degree 2 extension of a purely transcendental extension of k. 1. (a) Show that every hyperelliptic curve is birational to a curve of the form y 2 = f (x) where f ∈ k[x] is a monic squarefree polynomial. (b) Conversely, show that every squarefree f ∈ k[x] gives rise to a hyperell...
